Buenos Aires 1.
Yesterday my trip from Iguaçu to Buenos Aires was a bit longer than planed, I had more than an hour delay. After arrival I went to the apartment I am renting and brought my cloths to the laundry. They washed and ironed a big amount for 8 USD. Next I went to the Hungarian embassy, and had a nice talk with the ambassador, who was very helpful. Then I went for a good night walk.
In the morning I had an economical breakfast (croison, cafe, orange juice) for 3 USD. Than I tried to get some cash from an atm, but that became a nice experience. From the 8 cash-machines 2 was functioning, 4 was officially out of order, 2 was just out of cash, that at 9 am on a Friday... I was queuing for money about 20 min, after I retrieved my freshly washed clothes and ironed shirts, and with the Hungarian ambassador we went to the Argentinean ministry for foreign affairs, where we met the Director of the Diplomatic Academy and the director of the department of trade.
After the meetings I had a nice lunch in of the local restaurants, which was ok but a bit exaggerated price (13 USD). I bought a metro-card topped it up and took the "subte" (40 cents for a ride - WTF). I visited the famous placa de Mayo, the Presidential house (Casa Rosada) and the Bicentenary Museum, which shows the 200 years of history of Argentina with a "slight touch of Peronism". :-) Then I walked along the Avenida de Mayo until the Congress and back to my apartment.
At night with a Hungarian friend of mine, Anita (she is the cousin of Beus, my old friend from the university times) we went out for dinner. We had a juicy steak, of course. :-)

Paraguay - Ciudad del Este
Az amúgy sem hosszúra tervezett paraguayi tartózkodásom a tervezettnél is rövidebb lett. Nagyon figyeltem, hogy az útlevelem ki es belépő pecsetjei meglegyenek, ugyanis csúnya büntetést kaphat az a turista, akinél hiányzik valamelyik es ez kiderül. Átsétáltam a Barátság-hídon (Puente de Amistad), utána pedig egy hatalmas bazár fogadott. Bár találkoztam utcaseprőkkel, de a munkahatékonyság nem közeliti meg a brazilt. Mindenki szívja a "maite" teát. Egy bögréből egy kis csapat közösen. Nagyon fura. Zöld trutyi, amit folyamatosan öntenek fel termoszból meleg vízzel egész nap. Inkább nem próbáltam ki. Viszont egy óra séta untig elég volt, különösen hogy semmit nem akartam vásárolni. Ez a város, pedig ezen alapul. A brazilok jönnek át megvenni az olcsó árukat es viszik haza...

Paraguay - Ciudad del Este
My stay in Paraguay was planed anyway to be short, but it became even shorter. I was very cautious to get every stamp during the entrance and exit from one country to an other. If it is missing one, you may receive a nice fine. I was crossing the Friendship-bridge (Puente de Amistad) and entered the Ciudad del Este, which is a huge dirty bazaar. I have seen rubbish collectors and street-cleaners in the city, however their efficiency is questionable. Instead of working they are drinking the "maite" tee continuously. It's a strange green stuff in a metal cup, what they are continuously filling up with hot water, and sharing among each other. I rather have not tried it. :-) It was a good experience, although I didn't want to buy anything. The whole city is based on cheap goods, which the Brazilian people are coming and buying. After an hour walk I returned to Brazil.

Foz de Iguaçu 2.
Ma a helyiek szakzsargonja szerint átestem a "vízkeresztségen"... Reggel az Iguaçu vízesés argentin oldalát támadtam meg. Elég rossz idő volt, esett, szakadt, csöpögött az eső felváltva. De mivel bátor és bevállalós vagyok, ezért elmentem a túrára. Jól tettem. A Singapour airlines négy bűbájos légikísérőjével voltam egy csoportban, akikkel bejártuk a "balpartot". Először a Garganta del Diablo-hoz mentünk, amit azért hívnak az "Ördög torkának", mivel minden ami beleesik, azt örökre elnyeli. Ezt tegnap brazil oldalról megtekintettem, csak most közvetlenül mellé vitt az argentin oldali út. Innen végig sétáltunk az összes kisebb-nagyobb vízesés fölött, mellett és alatt. Végül pedig egy motoros csónakkal "bele" is mentünk a vízesésbe. Szabad téri közösségi tusolás ruhában. Hatalmas élmény volt, mindneki kisgyerekként kiabált örömében. :-) Az sem volt zavaró, hogy bőrig áztunk, mivel amúgy is esett az eső és hideg se volt. Anyukámnak jelentem, nem fáztam meg, ne tessék aggódni. Holnap irány Paraguay!
